ECHL Goaltender Jeff Theut has Announced His Retirement at the Age of 29.

Veteran ECHL goaltender and Michigan native Jake Theut has announced his retirement from professional hockey. 

"Hockey, you allowed me to cross paths with so many great people, see amazing places, and make me who I am today. I appreciate it, I really do," Theut shared in a statement on his official social media. 

The 29-year-old suited up for the Greenville Swamp Rabbits, Norfolk Admirals, Fort Wayne Komets, Wichita Thunder, and most recently backstopped the Adirondack Thunder for 34 games in the 2022-23 season. He compiled a 2.98 GAA and .907 save percentage in his final season.
