Justin Taylor Cracks 500 Points with K-Wings, Growlers Bounce Back with Shutout, Idaho & Greenville Hit Seven Straight Wins

It was a jam-packed Saturday night across the ECHL, filled with record-setting performances, winning streaks and clutch games from a host of league-leading clubs. 

The Idaho Steelheads, downing the Rapid City Rush 6-3, and Greenville Swamp Rabbits, with a 5-0 shutout of the Atlanta Gladiators, both extended their respective win streaks to seven games, while the Iowa Heartlanders roared past the Wheeling Nailers 6-2 to move to 8-1-0-1 in their past ten games. 

In player news, ECHL iron man Justin Taylor became the first Kalamazoo Wings in the 49-year history of the club to crack 500 points. Taylor assisted on Brandon Saigeon's third-period marker as the K-Wings blanked the Cincinnati Cyclones 3-0.
