Suiting up for the Kalamazoo Wings last night against the Iowa Heartlanders (3-1 Iowa final), Justin Taylor became one of only three ECHL players to play 800 games.
Taylor, who has worn jerseys for Trenton, Idaho, Tulsa and now Kalamazoo since 2010, joins all-time record holder Mike Pelech (884 games with Ontario, Toledo, Cincinnati, Utah, Norfolk, Reading, Greenville, Wheeling, Indy, Atlanta - 2009-24) and Sam Ftorek (859 games with Augusta, Mobile, Greensboro, Gwinnett, Fresno, Cincinnati, Kalamazoo, Norfolk - 1998-2018) as the only three players in league history to cross the 800 game threshold.
The Ontario native was a sixth-round pick of the Washington Capitals in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, dressing for 25 games in the AHL during his pro career.
