Gratton played for the Reading Royals [https://thehockeynews.com/echl/latest-news/royals-re-sign-defenseman-carabin-for-upcoming-season]in 2024-25. He led them with 20 goals during the campaign. Before turning pro, Gratton played NCAA hockey [https://thehockeynews.com/ncaa/]at Arizona State. He was the captain of the 2023-24 Sun Devils team, where he scored 12 goals and six assists in 36 games. Gratton also played at Penn State University from 2019-23, scoring 20 goals and 14 assists. He also has one game of experience in the American Hockey League [https://thehockeynews.com/ahl/]with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. “Super excited to be a Grizzly this year, can’t wait to get the season rolling and see you all in October,” Gratton said in a news release following the signing. In his junior hockey days, Gratton was part of the Chicago Steel’s 2017 USHL [https://thehockeynews.com/ushl/]championship club, where he was a teammate with 2024-25 Grizzlies defenseman Derek Daschke.
