The Fort Wayne Komets announced Friday they have traded forward Brannon McManus to the Adirondack Thunder. This completes the future considerations part of a trade [https://thehockeynews.com/echl/latest-news/komets-acquire-forward-from-adirondack]back in March, when the Komets acquired forward Blake Murray from Adirondack. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound McManus, a right-shot center/right winger, scored 31 points (16-15-31) for Fort Wayne in 61 games with 16 penalty minutes and a +11 plus/minus rating. The Newport Beach, Calif. Native came to the Komets via a trade with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits [https://thehockeynews.com/echl/game-day/everblades-eliminate-swamp-rabbits-from-playoff-contention-with-four-goal-outburst]last July in exchange for forward Arvid Caderoth. In three ECHL [https://thehockeynews.com/echl/]seasons, McManus has recorded 117 points (41-76-117) in 191 games. He tallied three goals in seven games with Abbotsford of the American Hockey League [https://thehockeynews.com/ahl/]in 2021-22. McManus spent five seasons in the NCAA [https://thehockeynews.com/ncaa/]between the University of Minnesota and the University of Nebraska-Omaha, scoring 119 points (48-71-119) in 170 games. The 23-year-old Murray, a left-shot center/left winger, collected 45 points (18-27-45) in 67 games between the Komets and Atlanta Gladiators [https://thehockeynews.com/echl/latest-news/gladiators-introduce-game-of-the-month-packages-for-2025-26-season]. He was traded from Atlanta to Adirondack before the ECHL trade deadline, but did not appear in a game with them before being dealt to Fort Wayne. Over four ECHL seasons, Murray has registered 150 points (63-187-150) in 221 games. He spent one season in the AHL with the Chicago Wolves (2022-23) and totaled seven points (2-5-7) in 20 contests.
