NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Goalie Pickups and Expected Starters March 28 - Go With Gibson Between the Pipes

On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues or for daily fantasy games.

Elvis Merzlikins, CLM  vs. VAN (30% rostered)
Elvis was in the building Monday, notching his first win since March 1, snapping an 0-5-1 stretch in which Merzlikins had posted a 3.55 GAA and .891 save percentage. He was aided by the return of Sean Monahan, bolstering the team's offense. Columbus will not an easy time with Vancouver, who have remained in playoff contention despite the absence of Elias Pettersson and Filip Chytil. But if Merzlikins is on his game, he has a good chance at notching a victory with a large number of saves. 

John Gibson, ANA vs. NYR (15% rostered)
Lukas Dostal is expected to be between the pipes, as Anaheim have been rottaing starters and Gibson started Wednesday. The Ducks relied on Dostal heavily while Gibson was sidelined, but he has hit a rough patch. Gibson, healthy again after a lower-body injury that kept him out for much of March, has won consecutive starts. If he is in net, he has a good chance at picking up the win versus a Rangers team that has lost eight of 11 games.
