On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy hockey managers to stream, roster or utilize in standard leagues and/or DFS games. Players and goalies highlighted for streaming in standard leagues are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues.
Adam Fox, NYR @ WSH (97% rostered) - FanDuel: $6,200
Fox's inclusion in the column is based on his full practice and placement on the top power play unit Tuesday. Sidelined since November 29 with what is believed to be a separated shoulder, Fox has missed the required 10 games and 24 days following his placement on Long-Term Injured Reserve, enabling his return to action Wednesday. New York's power play has been brutal without Fox, who might struggle a little once he returns, but his presence could have a galvanizing effect on the lineup and man-advantage attack.
Jackson LaCombe, ANA vs. TB (92% rostered) - FanDuel: $6,000
LaCombe took a major step forward in 2024-25, scoring 14 goals while dishing out 29 assists in 75 games. He got off to a slow start to this season but has rallied recently. LaCombe has three tallies and six helpers his last 12 contests, upping his season totals to six goals and 17 assists in 39 appearances. If LaCombe continues at his current pace, he will set a new career-high in points.
Brock Faber, MIN @ SJ (84% rostered) - FanDuel: $5,800
Faber is thriving next to Quinn Hughes since the latter arrived in Minnesota. He lit the lamp again Monday and has two goals and four assists over nine games since The Trade. The hot streak has moved the third year blueliner up to eight markers and 13 helpers in 40 appearances along with a plus-eight rating. Even more impressive the 85 blocked shots, which has Faber on pace to exceed the 150 he posted as a rookie.
Sam Girard, COL vs. STL (2% rostered) - FanDuel: $4,100
Girard and Sam Malinski are a brilliant third blueline pair for Colorado, whose production and play are closer to a top-four duo. Both have contributed offensively with Girard adding three goals and six assists over his last eight games. That production is almost what he has totaled for the season, with this current hot streak another reason to deploy Girard in DFS.
Evan Bouchard, EDM vs. BOS (100% rostered) - FanDuel: $7,000
Bouchard will find out Wednesday if he made Team Canada. His play of late could have earned him one of the final defensive spots, even though he may be a long shot. Bouchard enters the final game of the month with three goals and 12 assists in 14 December contests. His solid month has him up to seven goals, 30 helpers, 13 power-play points, 102 shots on net, 57 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating through 40 appearances
