On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues and/or for daily fantasy games.
Anthony Cirelli, C, TB @ DET (22% rostered) - FanDuel $4,900
Cirelli, at times, gets lost in the offensive mix in Tampa, but ignore him at your own peril. He established new career marks for goals (27), assists (32), points (59), plus-minus (plus 30) and shots (160) in 2024-25 while centering the Lightning's second line. After opening the season with back-to-back scoreless contests, Cirelli notched a pair of tallies and a helper his next two games.
Alex DeBrincat, LW/RW, DET vs. TB (96% rostered) - FanDuel $7,000
DeBrincat has become Mr. Consistency. He has tallied at least 66 points each of the past four seasons, notching between 66 and 78 points in those campaigns. DeBrincat has yet to light the lamp this season after doing so 39 times in 2024-25 but has six helpers in four games, two of which have come on the power-play. With 15 shots in those four contests, it's only a matter of time before he notches his first of the season.
Tom Wilson, RW, WAS vs. MIN (89% rostered) - FanDuel $5,700
Wilson had his best season in the NHL last season, setting career highs across the board – goals, assists, points, plus/minus rating, game-winning goals, power-play goals and ice time. His improved offensive standing didn't deter much from his physical play, as he still notched 233 hits. Wilson is showing last year might not have been a fluke, as he already has a pair of tallies and three helpers with 13 hits in his first four contests this year.
Frank Nazar, C, CHI vs. VAN (47% rostered) - FanDuel $5,100
I am sure readers of this column are getting tired of Nazar being included almost daily. But as long as his FanDuel price is reasonable and he keeps producing, all I can say is get used to it. Nazar is off to a strong start, notching a pair of goals with four assists in five games. He is entrenched as the Blackhawks' second-line center with substantive upside in nearly all formats.
JJ Peterka, LW/RW, UTAH vs. CHI (81% rostered) - FanDuel $6,000
JJP, a second-round pick in 2020, went from 32 points in his first full season 2022-23 to 50 the following campaign and then 68 points in 77 contests in 2024-25. Buffalo decided his salary ask was too high, so they shipped JJP to Utah. The Mammoth showed what they thought of JJP, inking him to a five-year, $38.5 million contract in July. He may not exceed his prior year output skating on the second line, both at even-strength and on the man-advantage, but he should come close to matching that number.
