EA SPORTS NHL 24 released four new HUT Champs cards

EA SPORTS NHL 24 released four new HUT Champs cards

EA SPORTS NHL 24 - Brand New NHL 24 HUT Champs Players

Wednesday, NHL 24 HUT introduced four more HUT Champs cards players can earn. To acquire these players, it will require three HUT Champs collectibles to make their starting 84 overall cards and then 21 power-up collectibles to get them to their max level of 93 overall.

These new cards are all actually quite decent and could be viable for your top-heavy HUT teams. Below, we take a look at the new players.

    Darcy Kuemper - G, HYB

Kuemper's best card before this in the game was his 84 overall Live Moments card. At 6-foot-5, you can bet this will be a card many look to power up and get to the max.

Light Work, since its recent buff, is rated as the number one goaltender ability in NHL 24, and Kuemper has that as his zone ability along with Show Stopper, Post to Post, and Butterfly Effect, which are all solid superstar ability options.

With a goalie as tall as Kuemper, you wouldn't expect his quickness stats to be amazing, wrong. He has 99 speed (when 93 overall). His HUT Champs card could be one of the best goalies in the game with his speed, size, and abilities to choose from.

    Ryan O'Reilly - C, TWF

O'Reilly's card makes the case to be a strong third-line center for your HUT team and someone you can throw out there to win draws and kill penalties with his 99 faceoffs and Quick Draw zone ability.

He comes with Speed Boost synergy in the second slot which when activated can get this card up to 95 speed and acceleration.

Overall, this is a strong centerman card with mid-90 shooting and hands stats. O'Reilly now has a viable center card, as his previous best was a LD HUTVERSE Card.

    Tom Wilson - RW, PWF

Washington's bulldozing winger now has a card that players can use to obliterate their opponents with hits. As you would've expected, his cards checking stats are all maxed out, and he has fun superstar abilities to pick from in Truculence and Back At Ya.

This card can get up to 95 speed and acceleration with the Enforcer Forward synergy activated, although that is a tough synergy to unlock due to the game having few good cards having it as an option.

    Ryan McDonagh - LD, TWD

Ryan McDonagh only had his base 79 overall card in HUT before this release. I know many people in the player base would've loved to see a right-handed defenseman here, considering there are a plethora of lefties to choose from over righties.

Regardless, this is still a very good card with great skating that can get up to 96 acceleration with the Accelerator Boost synergy activated. His defensive stats are in the mid-high 90s, and he has a great combo of abilities with Shutdown zone ability and Quick Pick as a superstar one.
