Patch 1.3.0 is part of a series of essential upgrades in NHL 24.

Earlier today, EA SPORTS NHL put out Patch 1.3.0, which is part of a series of essential upgrades. The patch includes various improvements to presentation, core gameplay, and across game modes.
Key upgrades to gameplay include improvements to the logic on certain penalties, including boarding and interference. These are some of the most significant changes to the core gameplay experience. For example, players previously found themselves being called for boarding penalties when they were too far from the boards or lined up their shoulder checks properly. Conversely, the logic behind interference calls has been adjusted as players previously would get away from being penalized.
Presentation upgrades include the ability to choose to activate the Flex Cam or perform celebrations from the gameplay camera. Optionalizing the Flex Cam gives players more freedom in how they want to perform goal celebrations.
In World of Chel, tunings to player classes have been made to offer more options in player sizes and a slight boost in skater ratings for Special Character Classes.
