EA SPORTS NHL 24 Reveals Top 10 Wings and Defense Player Ratings

EA SPORTS NHL has begun revealing NHL 24 player ratings, with more expected to be shared soon.

It’s the moment fans have been waiting for! EA SPORTS NHL has begun rolling out its player ratings for NHL 24, focusing on the best players in various positions.

Colorado Avalanche star defenseman and Cover Athlete of NHL 24, Cale Makar, earns a 95 overall rating, making him the highest-rated defenseman in the game. 

A fan-favorite in EA SPORTS NHL video games and a new member of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Erik Karlsson is among the top 5 highest-rated overall right defensemen, with a 91 rating. A notable mention to young star Moritz Seider of the Detroit Red Wings, who is receiving an 88 overall rating, good for 9th best among right defensemen. 

Nashville Predators' Roman Josi, earns the second-highest rating among defensemen, and highest among left defense, at 94 overall. Victor Hedman and Rasmus Dahlin round out the top 3, with the remaining players making the top 10 among left defense shown below. 

Community votes also influenced the players with the highest overall ratings. As shared by EA SPORTS NHL, Matthew Tkachuk received 57% of the votes to earn himself a 94 overall rating, the highest among left-wingers. The Florida Panthers star helped carry his team all the way to the 2023 Stanley Cup Finals against the Vegas Golden Knights, defeating the Boston Bruins, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Carolina Hurricanes along the way. The Panthers run elevated Matthew Tkachuk to new heights, which will be carried over in NHL 24 and likely, the 2023-2024 NHL season.

Interestingly, Alex Ovechkin ranks 5th among left wingers (91 rating) and has the best wrist shot power in the game at a well-deserved 95 attribute. Brady Tkachuk, Johnny Gaudreau, and Kyle Connor round out the list of the top 10 left-wingers in NHL 24. 

David Pastrnak is the highest overall winger in NHL 24 with an impressive 95 overall rating. The Boston Bruins star had 61 goals and 52 assists for a total of 113 points in 82 games during the 2022-2023 regular season. An exceptionally talented player, Pastrnak will be a fan favorite in NHL 24.
