New Hockey Emote in Fortnite

First hockey related animation now available in Fortnite Shop

This week Fortnite released their first hockey related Emote named Ice Moves. 

With this emote equipped the player's character pulls out a hockey stick, does tricks with the puck, and then flips the puck to themselves and takes a one-time slapshot. 

Fortnite now has more than 400 million registered users and averages 2.1 million concurrent players per day. This Emote is a small way for hockey to become recognizable to new audiences and any exposure to this large a group is a positive for the sport.

This is the first hockey related animation in Fortnite, there had previously been a hockey arena built in Fortnite Creative, and a hockey puck toy that was a reward all the way back in Season 1. 

The Emote is going for 400 V-Bucks.

The Emote seems to be popular both among hockey content creators and Fortnite players.

Fortnite has done collaborations with nearly every other major sport and several music artists so this could be the first step in adding more hockey content.
