We finally have our first quote unquote news on NHL 24. At approximately 4:14pm on Sunday July 30th, a tweet was posted from the content creator Thrash94Gaming simply titled "It's coming. Shoutout to Google for the leak lol." alongside a screenshot of a google search. This looked to be the first real instance of NHL 24 we've seen confirmed by EA Sports, and if true it would signal a few things. For starters, a NHL 24 video game is all but confirmed to be coming out now. As well, this NHL game will run along a similar path of having certain users test the game out before it's full release.
Upon visiting the site, it turns out this is real. It's on the actual ea.com site, and the screen asks you to "register your account with EA Playtesting and complete the short intro survey at the link below for a chance to joint he next NHL Playtest!". When clicking on the link, you'll be asked to sign in to your EA Account. If you're unsure of what your login is, you can use your Xbox or PlayStation accounts to login as well. Once in, you'll be prompted with some questions about what type of playtests you'd be interested in, if you'd prefer in person or remote playtesting, and other questions related to this. You'll also be asked which console is your first choice to play on: Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, or PlayStation 4. This also confirms to us that NHL 24 will be available on previous generation consoles (Xbox One and PlayStation 4).
After completing the registration, your application will be submitted and you'll be contacted should you be selected to participate. It should be noted that this playtest is only available to residents in the United States or Canada, and you must be 18 years of age or older. This is also a private and confidential playtest, and as a result you can not capture, produce, distribute, or publish content regarding NHL 24 anywhere. Even with this caveat, we recommend signing up for anyone interested in playtesting the game early and helping EA polish NHL 24 before launch.
