Makar and Draisaitl highlight new cards

New Milestone cards were released in NHL 24 Hockey Ultimate Team on Tuesday. Unlike some recent releases this batch of cards is full of elite players.

All four of the new players who are under 90 overall are unlikely to crack most lineups, but Marchand's Synergy and Zone Ability could make him a viable bottom-six player if activated.

They include:

All six of the 90 or above overall players that were released are worth rostering.

  • Patrick Kane has elite hands and shooting accuracy, with the Sniper Forward Synergy activated he could be a deadly sniper.
  • Nylander is a better version of Kane, with good speed and an elite shot. Add in Elite Edges, Speed Boost and Make It Snappy and he becomes a great sniper
  • What Hedman lacks in speed he makes up for with his size and defensive stats. Always one of the most pursued defensemen, this Hedman card will be on many elite rosters.
  • Draisaitl is a deadly shooter with great balance. He lacks speed and elite faceoff stats, but he will work wonders in the offensive zone, especially since he comes with Sniper Forward and One Tee.
  • This Makar card is one of he best cards that has been released this season. 98 speed and acceleration with 99 agility will allow Makar to fly around the ice. He has a great shot that can be improved with synergies. His 99 puck control, passing and deking make him a wizard with the puck. He is not the best body checker but he has 97 defensive awareness and stick checking, and his Shutdown ability helps improve his defensive play.
  • Demko's size and positioning combined with his Light Work ability make him an intriguing goalie.
  • Hedman and Demko were both recommendations in our recent best cards for under 100k series, and each receive significant upgrades in these cards.
