HC Sparta Praha (CZE) 4 – Frölunda HC (SWE) 2 Sparta exploded with three goals in the second period, stunning the four-time champions. Max Friberg cut Sparta’s lead to one with two and a half minutes remaining, but Roman Horák sealed the deal with an empty-netter to give Sparta a 4–2 win.

Brynäs IF (SWE) 2 – ZSC Lions (SUI) 0 Brynäs shut down the champions with a defensive clinic and a perfect effort from goalkeeper Collin Delia. Jakob Silfverberg opened the scoring halfway through the second period to give the Swedish team the lead. Anton Rödin added the second goal late in the third, and Brynäs improve to nine points in four games.

Ilves (FIN) 3 – Storhamar (NOR) 0 Ilves extended their perfect run with a comfortable home shutout. Dominik Pavlát turned aside all 18 shots in the Ilves net, while Timi Teuho-Markkola scored just 2:20 into the game. Ilves added two quick goals in the third through Otto Latvala and Joonas Nättinen to settle the final score. Ilves maintain their perfect record and improved to 4–0 after Saturday’s game.

KalPa (FIN) 3 – Red Bull Salzburg (AUT) 2 Salzburg’s penalties proved costly as KalPa struck on the power play. Juuso Ketola and Teemu Hartikainen put the Finns ahead before Aleksi Klemetti added insurance. Goalie Patrik Kerkola stood tall with 26 saves. KalPa sit second in the league with 11 points after four games.
GKS Tychy (POL) 2 – Luleå HF (SWE) 3 Luleå took an early lead as Eetu Koivistoinen buried a rebound after just four minutes. GKS Tychy tied the game shortly after, but Pontus Andreasson and Brian O’Neill scored for Luleå to make it 3–1 early in the second period. The Poles added a consolation goal and earned respect despite leaving empty-handed.

Odense Bulldogs (DEN) 3 – KAC Klagenfurt (AUT) 6 Klagenfurt picked up three important points in Denmark with a 6–3 win over Odense. Mario Kempe had a big night with two goals and five points in the victory. Odense cut the lead to 3–2 midway through the third period, but that was as close as the Danes got. Klagenfurt climb into a playoff spot with six points after four games.

SC Bern (SUI) 5 – HC Kometa Brno (CZE) 3 After two even periods, SC Bern pulled away in the third. Miro Aaltonen had made it 4–3 midway through the second, and Mario Lehmann sealed the 5–3 result in the final minute. The Swiss side take three important points after a shaky start to their CHL campaign.
Lausanne HC (SUI) 1 – ERC Ingolstadt (GER) 3 Riley Sheen broke the deadlock five minutes into the second period to give Ingolstadt the lead. Defenseman Alex Breton made it 2–0 with a shot from the blue line that beat Kevin Pasche in the Lausanne net. Breton also added an empty-netter for 3–1, which stood as the final score. Ingolstadt now sit on six points after four games.
EV Zug (SUI) 6 – Belfast Giants (GBR) 3 Dominik Kubalík showed flashes of his NHL rookie season by scoring Zug’s first two goals of the game. His linemate Tomáš Tatar also had a strong night, finishing with three assists as EV Zug went on to win 6–3. Zug now have eight points from four games.
HC Bolzano (ITA) 0 – Mountfield HK (CZE) 4 Mountfield HK now have two straight wins in the CHL after opening their campaign with two losses. Against Bolzano they took advantage of a dominant third period where they scored four goals. Mountfield’s power play was the difference, with all four goals coming on the man advantage.
Pinguins Bremerhaven (GER) 3 – Lukko Rauma (FIN) 2 [SO] Bremerhaven pulled off a dramatic overtime win, tying the game with two goals in the last three minutes of the third before finishing it in the shootout. Goalie Kristers Gudļevskis was solid with 35 saves, ensuring the Germans claimed two valuable points on home ice.
Eisbären Berlin (GER) 4 – Grenoble (FRA) 5 [SO] Grenoble shocked Eisbären Berlin with a comeback win. After trailing 3–0, the French side tied it 3–3 in the second period. They equalized again in the third to make it 4–4 and went on to win in the shootout. Grenoble now have five points, while Berlin sit on four after four games.
