Former Lightning Defenseman Having Strong Season In Liiga

Former Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Andrej Sustr is currently playing Jukurit of the Finnish Liiga. 

So far, Sustr is undoubtedly having a strong campaign for the Liiga club. 

In 14 games this campaign with Jukurit, Sustr already has recorded an impressive 15 assists. With this, the 6-foot-7 defenseman is certainly making an impact with setting up his teammates. 

Sustr having a big start to the season comes after he had one assist in 11 AHL games for the Bridgeport Islanders this past season. He also posted one goal and five points in 20 games with Kalmar HC of HockeyAllsvenskan last season.

Sustr will now be looking to continue to make an impact offensively for Jukurit as the season carries on. If he does, he will be a very strong part of their roster this campaign. 

In 361 career NHL games over eight seasons split between the Lightning and Anaheim Ducks, Sustr posted 11 goals, 58 assists, 69 points, 163 penalty minutes, 178 hits. He most recently played at the NHL level during the 2021-22 season.
