Former Penguins & Maple Leafs Forward Signs Extension With Farjestad BK

Farjestad BK of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) has announced that they have signed forward Pittsburgh Penguins and Toronto Maple Leafs forward Radim Zohorna to a two-year contract extension.

Farjestad BK signing Zohorna to this two-year extension comes in the middle of him having a strong start to the season. In eight games so far this season with the SHL club, the 6-foot-6 forward has posted four goals, six assists, and 10 points. This is after he had nine goals and 27 points in 47 games with the SHL club last season.

Given how well Zohorna has played with Farjestad BK, it makes sense that they worked hard to sign him to this contract extension. He is a solid part of their forward group, and it will be interesting to see what he does after landing this new extension.

In 68 career NHL games over four seasons split between the Penguins, Calgary Flames, and Maple Leafs, Zohorna posted nine goals, nine assists, 18 points, 81 hits, and a plus-15 rating. His most recent NHL season was back during the 2023-24 campaign.
