Tough news for the former SHL forward.

A former SHL forward is set to miss a good chunk of time for the Vegas Golden Knights.

Golden Knights head coach Ryan Craig shared that former SHL forward Victor Olofsson will be out week-to-week due to injury.

This is rough news for Olofsson, but especially when noting that he has had a strong start to the season. In four games so far this campaign with the Golden Knights, he has posted four goals and one assist. Yet, with this news, his impressive hot streak will now need to be put on pause.

Olofsson signed a one-year contract with the Golden Knights during this off-season. This was after he recorded 13 goals, 31 points, and a plus-5 rating in 78 games last season split between the Colorado Avalanche and Calgary Flames.

Olofsson spent several years developing his game in Sweden. This included him playing five seasons in the SHL with Frolunda HC. He most recently played in the SHL during the 2017-18 campaign, where he recorded 27 goals and 43 points in 50 games. Since then, he has played in North America.
