Latvia Gets Pummeled By Germany, Elvis Merzlikins Gives Up Four Goals In Relief

Elvis Merzlikins came into the game in relief of fellow goalkeeper Kristers Gudlevskis today against Germany. Gudlevskis would be pulled after giving up 4 goals on 10 German shots. Merzlikins didn't fair any better.

Elvis would come into the game in the second period and give up three goals to the high-scoring Germans. Nico Sturm would score in the third to make it 8-1 Germany. That's how the game would end.

Elvis finished the game by giving up 4 goals on 21 German shots for a save % of .809%.

Latvia's next game will be against the dominant Sweden team.
