Mathew Barzal is riding with the Chiefs.
On Feb. 11, the Kansas City Chiefs battle the San Francisco 49ers in Vegas for the Super Bowl.
It's a rematch of the 2020 Super Bowl, which the Chiefs took home.
New York Islanders forward Mathew Barzal was asked about which team he was rooting for when he met the media at the 2024 All-Star Draft Thursday night in Toronto.
"I love football. I'm riding Patty Mahomes," Barzal said. "I love him. He's just the best.
"I like watching greatness."
When we asked Barzal about going to the All-Star Game last week, he mentioned he loves watching the best and being around the best, so it makes sense that he's a Mahomes guy.
"You're around the best in the game, and that's where I want to be," Barzal said.
As for the Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce relationship that, for some reason, has pissed a large portion of people off, Barzal's here for it.
"It doesn't annoy me at all. I don't really understand the whole thing, people saying that it's annoying," Barzal said. "I kind of like it, I mean, I like Taylor. And Travis Kelce...sure, he's outspoken and whatnot, but his game speaks for itself. Like, he is a gamer, and you gotta respect it."
