With the 2024 NHL All-Star Player Draft underway, New York Islanders forward Mathew Barzal will play for Team Matthews.

Barzal is the Islanders’ lone representative at the event and will appear in his third All-Star Game this weekend. Through 48 games, he has 13 goals and 38 assists, good for 51 points.
In addition to his appearance in Saturday’s three-on-three tournament, Barzal will play a heavy role in Friday’s All-Star Skills event.
He is one of 12 participants in the event and will partake in four contests, including the Fastenal NHL Fastest Skater, which he won in 2020.
Other events include the Scotiabank NHL Passing Challenge, Tim Hortons NHL One Timers, and Upper Deck NHL Stick Handling.
All-Star Skills will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, with the game itself starting at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
