The ECHL's Kalamazoo Wings have signed forward Adam Tisdale to a one-year deal, the team announced Wednesday.
A native of Cochrane, Alta., Tisdale spent this past season with the University of Alaska-Anchorage where he scored five goals and added eight assists for 13 points in 34 games.
Across his six-year NCAA career, Tisdale suited up for the Seawolves, Clarkson and Sacred Heart, putting up a total of 39 points in 134 career games.
With Tisdale turning pro, he has a good chance to be a difference maker for the Wings. Although his stats don't jump off the page, he knows how to advance the play with the puck on his stick. That should allow him to gain the trust of his coaches and put himself in a position to gain a bigger role as the year rolls on.
