The Anaheim Ducks have signed former Ohio State Buckeye Carson Meyer to a one-year, two-way deal, the team announced Wednesday.
A product of Powell, Ohio, Meyer split this past season between the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Cleveland Monsters. In 14 games with the Blue Jackets, he collected two points. With the Monsters, Meyer scored 22 goals and added 15 assists for 37 points in 55 games.
Prior to turning pro in 2020, Meyer spent time playing for Miami University and Ohio State. In 137 career games, he scored 42 goals and added 47 assists for 89 points.
As Meyer gets sets to join his second NHL organization, he will most likely start the season with the San Diego Gulls. While he has seen about a dozen NHL games in each of the past three seasons, Meyer is most likely a depth option for the Ducks to start off the season.
