Nesterenko spent three seasons playing for Boston College

The Anaheim Ducks have re-signed former Boston College forward Nikita Nesterenko to a one-year, two-way deal, the team announced Monday.

A product of Brooklyn, N.Y., Nesterenko split time between the Ducks and San Diego Gulls in 2023-24. In three games with the Ducks, he scored a goal. With San Diego, Nesterenko scored 16 goals and added 21 assists for 37 points in 70 regular season games.

Drafted by the Minnesota Wild in the sixth round of the 2019 NHL Draft, Nesterenko never played a game for the team and was traded to the Ducks in the deal that saw John Klingberg join the Wild.

Prior to turning pro at the end of the 2022-23 season, Nesterenko spent three seasons at Boston College where he collected 28 goals and 49 assists for 77 points in 97 career games.

As Nesterenko enters his second full season with the Ducks organization, he will likely see more time in Anaheim in 2024-25. As someone who can play in the team's bottom six, Nesterenko could be a solid depth option for the Ducks now and in the future.
