The Bruins qualified four restricted free agents

The Boston Bruins have qualified forward Marc McLaughlin, defenseman Michael Callahan and goaltender Jeremy Swayman, the team announced Sunday.

McLaughlin, a product of North Billerica, Mass. spent the majority of the season in Providence but did get into one game with Boston where he scored. In 68 regular season AHL games, he scored eight goals and added six assists for 14 points.

McLauglin spent four seasons with Boston College before turning pro, collecting 76 points in 130 career games and served as captain of the team in his final two seasons.

Callahan, a product of Franklin, Mass., spent the entire 2023-24 season with Providence where he had 17 points in 70 regular season games.

From 2018-2022, Callahan suited up for Providence College, putting up 13 goals and 53 assists for 66 points in 138 career games.

Swayman, the Bruins starting goaltender and a native of Anchorage, Alaska, posted a 25-10-8 record to go along with a 2.53 GAA and a .916 SV% in 44 regular season appearances.

Swayman spent three seasons with the University of Maine from 2017-2020 where he posted a record of 47-34-18, a GAA of 2.51 and a .927 SV% in 100 career appearances.

While McLaughlin and Callahan help bolster the Bruins depth, they won't command a high dollar amount. Swayman though, is a different story. Coming off an incredible postseason run that saw him post a .933 SV% in 12 games, Swayman will command a big contract with the Bruins - one that might take a while to iron out.
