Boston College forward Colby Ambrosio has entered the transfer portal, it was announced Tuesday.
The native of Welland, ON., spent parts of four seasons with the Eagles where he played an important role on both sides of the puck.
This past season was a bit of a down year for Ambrosio, where he scored two goals and added six assists for eight points in 40 games. Over the course of his 138 career NCAA games, he has scored 28 goals and added 38 assists for 66 points.
Drafted by the Colorado Avalanche in the fourth round (118th overall) of the 2020 NHL Draft, it is looking unlikely Ambrosio signs with the Avalanche. With his rights expiring on Aug. 15, if he intends to return to school for another year, he might be looking to sign a deal with another team next summer.
