Boston College forward Gentry Shamburger has entered the transfer portal, it was announced Thursday.
The native of Atlanta, GA., appeared in 30 games for the Eagles this past season, scoring one goal and adding an assist for two points.
Over the course of his four-year career with Boston College, Shamburger had two goals and one assist for three points in 80 games.
Before joining the Eagles, Shamburger played prep hockey at Avon Old Farms School where he scored 10 goals and added 24 assists for 34 points in 106 games over four seasons.
While he never got much playing time, especially on a powerhouse team like the Eagles, Shamburger could be an underrated get for a program looking to add a veteran forward.
It is unknown what Shamburger could go with an elevated role but for a team in need of players, giving a shot to Shamburger could be a worthy bet.
