Hagens registered an assist on Will Vote's second goal of the night

Boston College freshman forward James Hagens registered his first NCAA point Friday in the Eagles 3-0 win over Michigan State.

The projected first overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, Hagens' first NCAA point was a primary assist on Will Vote's second goal of the night.

A product of Hauppauge, N.Y., Hagens centered the second line between Teddy Stiga and Andre Gasseau in his NCAA debut. Having played for the U.S. NTDP U18 last season, Hagens scored 39 goals and added 63 assists for 102 points in 58 games.

With Hagens and the Eagles set to take on the Spartans again on Saturday, it will be interesting to see if Hagens takes a spot on the top line between Ryan Leonard and Gabe Pearreault. Having spent time with them in the past, Hagens would complement the top line nicely.
