Bancroft just wrapped up his sophomore season with the Big Red

The Boston Bruins have invited Cornell forward Dalton Bancroft to attend their development camp, Mark Divver reported Tuesday.
A native of Centre Hastings, Ont. Bancroft just finished his sophomore season with Cornell where he had an impressive 12 goals and 19 assists for 31 points in 34 games. In parts of two seasons with the Big Red, Bancroft has 52 points in 67 games.
Prior to joining Cornell, Bancroft played junior hockey in the GOJHL (St. Marys Lincolns), MJAHL (Amherst Ramblers) and OJHL (Trenton Golden Hawks & Wellington Dukes).
His best offensive output during his junior career came in his final season with the Golden Hawks where he had 92 points in 54 games.
As Bancroft heads to Bruins camp, he seems to fit the mold of what a lot of current Bruins players encompass: well-built but skilled players who can contribute at both ends of the ice.
With Bancroft still holding onto two years of eligibility, he has the chance to be the most important player on Cornell's roster next year. As he looks to break the point per game mark in the NCAA for the first time, he will be one to watch for next year.
