Denver forward Tristan Lemyre has transferred to Western Michigan, it wan announced Tuesday.
The native of Mirabel, Que., had originally entered the transfer portal in April and made his decision on where to play next season official this past week.
Over the course of two seasons with the Pioneers, Lemyre had six goals and seven assists for 13 points in 41 games. His best offensive output came last season when he had seven points in 17 games.
Before making the jump to the NCAA, Lemyre played his junior hockey for the Dubuque Fighting Saints (USHL) and the Flin Flon Bombers (SJHL).
Over two seasons with the Fighting Saints, Lemyre had 42 goals and 87 points in 107 games. In his only season for the Bombers, he put up eye-catching numbers, collecting 62 points in 44 games.
For a Broncos team that has lost players such as Luke Grainger and Sam Colangelo, adding a player with offensive upside in Lemyre is a good get for the program.
