The Florida Everblades have signed former UMass and Michigan State forward Reed Lebster to a one-year deal, the team announced Tuesday.
Hailing from Grand Rapids, Mich., Lebster saw time with both the Spartans and Everblades this past season. In 35 games with Michigan State, Lebster scored six goals and added 13 assists for 19 points. With Florida, he got into five playoff games but didn't register a point.
While Lebster spent this past year with the Spartans, he played for UMass from 2019-2023. Over the course of his five-year NCAA career, he collected 76 points in 147 career games.
While Lebster didn't get much playing time in the Kelly Cup playoffs, he got to experience the Everblades third straight championship and saw what it takes to be crowned ECHL champions. With him returning to the team for next season, Lebster should be a regular contributor going forward.
