Former North Dakota forward Collin Adams has signed with HC Banska Bystrica in Slovakia, it was announced Wednesday.
Adams, who spent this past season playing for the Kalamazoo Wings (ECHL), played his entire NCAA career with North Dakota from 2017-2021. In 122 career games at the NCAA level, Adams scored 33 goals and added 44 assists for 77 points.
A 2016 sixth-round pick of the New York Islanders, Adams scored 22 goals and added 21 assists for 43 points in 64 regular season games with Kalamazoo this past season. He also added two assists in four playoff games.
After turning pro prior to the 2021-22 season, Adams split time between the Bridgeport Islanders (AHL) and Worcester Railers (ECHL) over two seasons before joining Kalamazoo.
With this being Adams first time going overseas in his career, it will be interesting to follow along and see how he adapts ton the bigger ice surfaces. If he can put together a solid season, he could have AHL teams interested in giving him a look.
