Recapping notable college hockey game for Friday, October 18.

Michigan improved to 4-0-1 all-time against St. Cloud State with a 3-0 win over the Huskies on Friday. The Wolverines scored three times in the third period.

“They know what fighting the right way is,” Wolverines head coach Brandon Naurato said. “I think we got away from it early to see what kind of game it was, instead of setting the standard. We just got back to our game (in the third).”

Garrett Schifsky opened the scoring less than five minutes into the frame with his third shorthanded goal of the season already.

Michael Hage then scored in 4v4 play after taking the puck to the net. The Montreal Canadiens draft pick now has goals in his last four games.

Philippe Lapointe sealed the game with an empty-netter from the right-wing circle, marking goals in back-to-back games for the graduate forward.

Logan Stein, making his third start, stopped all 21 shots sent his way for his first shutout.

    Providence 4, Arizona State 1

Tanner Adams found the back of the net twice in the first period and added a goal in the third, cementing the hat trick in the Friar's 4-1 win, and third in four tries all-time, over the Sun Devils.

"I loved our start. We were ready to go right from the start," Providence head coach Nate Leaman said. "That's a big plus. I thought we had a pretty good first period. I thought in the second period, we just started playing the scoreboard too much instead of playing our shifts."

Graduate center Logan Will, who transferred in from Colorado College, scored his first goal in a Friars sweater in the second period.

Netminder Philip Svedebäck saw his shutout bid end on ASU Ryan Kirwan's goal in the third period but turned aside 27-of-28 overall.

    Boston College 5, AIC 0

BC scored twice in the first period and three times in the second to roll past the visiting Yellow Jackets.

James Hagens (2025) recorded his first NCAA goal late in the second period.

Goaltender Jacob Fowler stopped all 20 shots.

    Boston University 4, UConn 2

On Friday night, Cole Eiserman found the back of the net twice in the Terriers' 4-2 win over UConn.

The Huskies opened the scoring on Hudson Schandor's marker.

However, BU responded with four of the next five goals. Including Eiserman's two tallies, Brandon Svoboda and Tom Willander also scored.

    Mathieu Caron made 24-of-26 saves.

North Dakota 3, Minnesota State 2

UND used a furious third-period comeback to erase a two-goal deficit to top Minnesota State on Friday.

Cameron Berg and Louis Jamernik tallied power-play markers just 18 seconds apart in the third period.

Carter Wilkie scored the go-ahead goal at the 9:09 mark of the frame.

    T.J. Semptimphelter turned aside 23-of-25.

    Maine 2, Quinnipiac 1

    Denver 5, Northeastern 2
