Burrows was slated to join the Pioneers in 2025-26 but will suit up for them this fall

The Denver Pioneers announced their 2024-25 freshman class Wednesday, which included Minnetonka High's Hagen Burrows.

Burrows was slated to play for the Sioux City Musketeers (USHL) next season but joins the Pioneers one season early.

Hailing from Orono, Minn., Burrows split this past season between the Musketeers and Minnetonka High (USHS). In 28 games with Minnetonka, he scored 19 goals and added 40 assists for 59 points.

With the Musketeers, Burrows had 22 points in 25 regular season games and added four more in eight playoff games.

Projected to be a third or fourth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft, Burrows joins Jake Fisher (Fargo Force - USHL), Tory Pitner (Youngstown Phantoms - USHL), James Reeder (Dubuque Fighting Saints - USHL) and Alec Whipple (Trail Smoke Eaters - BCHL) as incoming freshman for the Pioneers.
