Sam Navarro-USA TODAY Sports - Holy Cross' Liam McLinskey invited to Florida Panthers development camp

The Florida Panthers have invited Holy Cross forward Liam McLinskey to their development camp, Mark Divver reported Wednesday.

McLinskey, a product of Pearl River, N.Y., just finished his junior season and second with Holy Cross where he collected 19 goals and added 28 assists for 47 points in 39 games.

Prior to joining Holy Cross, McLinskey spent a year at Quinnipiac where he only appeared in two games. In 81 career NCAA games, McLinskey has 40 goals and 32 assists for 72 points.

Before joining the NCAA, McLinskey played two years with the Jersey Hitmen (NCDC) where he had 122 points in 98 games.

As McLinskey heads to Florida in just over a month's time, he will be one to watch amongst the invites. Coming off having been named AHA Player of the Year, he has a very real chance of impressing Panthers staff.
