Brancheau just finished his final season of NCAA eligilbility with Ferris State

The ECHL's Kalamazoo Wings have signed former Ferris State forward Jason Brancheau to a one-year deal, the team announced Thursday. 

Hailing from Ecorse, Mich., Brancheau finished his fifth season with Ferris State in 2023-24, scoring nine goals and adding eight assists for 17 points in 35 games. Over the course of 108 career NCAA games, he put up 23 goals and 23 assists for 46 points. 

Prior to joining the NCAA, Brancheau played junior hockey for the Amarillo Bulls (NAHL). 

With Brancheau jumping to the ECHL, he will be one to watch as he adapts to the pro game. Brancheau has an ability to score goals and create with the puck on his stick, making him a solid addition for the Wings.
