

Red Deer Rebels forward Jhett Larson has committed to Alaska-Fairbanks, it was announced Thursday.
Larson, who is a product of Delisle, Sask., is in his fifth season with the Rebels, having put up four goals and seven assists for 11 points in 24 games this season.
Drafted by the Rebels in the eighth round of the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft, Larson has scored 50 goals and added 75 assists for 125 points in 238 career WHL regular season games. He has also produced 15 points in 30 career playoff games.
With Larson committing to the Nanooks, he becomes the first Rebels' player to commit to an NCAA school.
