Providence Friars forward John Mustard has been named Hockey East Player of the Week, it was announced Monday.
Mustard has been awarded the recognition two weeks in a row.
In the Friars two-game set versus Colorado College this past weekend, Mustard collected a goal and four points to extend his point streak to five games. Over the course of 17 games this season, Mustard has collected five goals and seven assists for 12 points.
Drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the third round of the 2024 NHL Draft, Mustard has impressed thus far in his freshman season with the Friars. Not only has Mustard been scoring but the goal differential when he is on the ice stands out.
As Mustard continues to develop, Blackhawks fans will be closely monitoring his progress. With their multitude of talented prospects, Mustard is quickly cementing himself as one of the brightest.
