The Maple Leafs have invited three NCAA players so far to development camp

The Toronto Maple Leafs have invited Quinnipiac forward Jack Ricketts and New Hampshire defender Brendan Fitzgerald to development camp, Mark Divver reported.

Ricketts, a product of Oakville, Ont., recently transferred to Quinnipiac after four seasons with Holy Cross. Across 120 games with the team, he scored 46 goals and added 41 assists for 87 points.

Prior to attending Holy Cross, Ricketts played his junior hockey with the Oakville Blades of the OJHL where he scored 73 goals and added 93 assists for 166 points in 208 games across parts of five seasons.

Fitzgerald, a product of North Reading, MA., just wrapped up his freshman season with New Hampshire - collecting five assists in 28 games.

Prior to joining the Wildcats, Fitzgerald played two seasons in the USHL with the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders where he had 55 points in 101 games from the backend.

While there could possibly be more NCAA players joining them, Hicketts, Fitzgerald and Quinn Hutson are the only known players going to Maple Leafs development camp so far.
