The 2023 second-round pick signed his entry-level contract with the team on Monday

The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed winger Gavin Brindley to a three-year entry level contract, the team announced Monday.

The 34th overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft spent the last two seasons playing for the Wolverines, where he scored 37 goals and added 54 assists for 91 points in 81 career NCAA games.

This past season, Brindley was a major offensive force for the Wolverines with 25 goals and 28 assists for 53 points in 40 games played, placing him first on the team in total points.

Brindley is a great two-way player, using his energy to get in on the forecheck and pressure opponents while making it difficult for them to create chances in the defensive zone. He has good vision with the puck and can find players through sticks in the slot.

Brindley is expected to make his NHL debut tonight vs. the Carolina Hurricanes.
