Sacha Boisvert has wasted little time making his impact felt at North Dakota.
The freshman forward was recognized for the second time this year, picking up NCHC Rookie of the Week honors for Week 8.
Boisvert tallied three points, including a two-point outing on Friday, in the Fighting Hawks' weekend sweep against Robert Morris.
The Chicago Blackhawks draft pick scored the go-ahead power-play goal in the third period of Friday's game and collected the secondary assists on the overtime winner.
Boisvert is up to 11 points this season and will look to extend his three-game point streak.
Forward of the Week: Artem Shlaine (Arizona State)
Shlaine picked a good time to have back-to-back multi-point efforts.
The graduate forward scored four goals on nine shots in Arizona State's two-game sweep on the road against previously No. 1-ranked Denver.
Shlaine opened the scoring for the Sun Devils 35 seconds into the game and potted the go-ahead goal with 45 seconds left in regulation in Friday's 3-2 win.
The following night, he found the back of the net in the second period and again in the third period. Shlaine is up to five goals and six points this season.
Defenseman of the Week: Jacob Guevin (Omaha)
This marks Guevin's second NCHC Weekly honor and the third of his career.
The junior defenseman tallied three points (all assists) in Omaha's sweep over Miami (OH).
Guevin collected a pair of assists on the Mavericks' first two goals in Friday's 3-0 win.
The following night, he tallied the secondary assist on Tyler Rollwagen's first-period power-play goal.
Guevin leads all Omaha defensemen with nine points, which are the second-most on the roster overall.
Co-Goaltender of the Week: Isak Posch (St. Cloud)
Posch earns his third NCHC Goaltender of the Week honor this season.
The sophomore netminder turned aside a combined 59-of-62 shots in net in St. Cloud's split on the road against Colorado College.
Posch stopped 25-of-27 in Friday's 3-2 win and matched a season-high with 34 saves the following night.
Co-Goaltender of the Week: Cameron Rowe (Western Michigan)
Rowe was outstanding in Western Michigan's 5-2 win against Minnesota Duluth on Friday night.
The graduate goaltender made a season-best 42 saves on 44 shots faced, including 22 in the third period alone.
Rowe owns a 1.59 goals-against average and a .938 save percentage in five appearances this season.
