Wallace appeared in only two games with the Bobcats during his freshman season

Quinnipiac defenseman Nick Wallace has transferred to American International College, Mike McMahon announced this past week.

A product of Atlantic Highlands, NJ., Wallace appeared in two games for the Bobcats this past season where he was held pointless.

Prior to making the jump to the NCAA, Wallace played junior hockey for Tri-City Storm, Waterloo Black Hawks, and Madison Capitols of the USHL where he scored five goals and added 47 assists for 52 points in 140 games across parts of four seasons.

Now a member of the Yellow Jackets, Wallace is joining a team that finished with a 20-16-4 record this past season, good for fifth in the AHA.

Given how little ice he saw with the Bobcats, Wallace enters a situation where he will hopefully see more ice time. A capable, puck-moving defender, Wallace makes a good first pass and can evade pressure using his quick edgework.

With three years of eligibility left, Wallace is a good candidate to make an impact with the Yellow Jackets.
