Minnesota State have added forward Rhett Pitlick to their roster ahead of the 2024-25 season, the team announced Saturday.
A product of Coral Springs, FL., Pitlick spent the past three seasons playing at the University of Minnesota.
Drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in the fifth round of the 2019 NHL Draft, Pitlick played 39 games for the Gophers in 2023-24, collecting 19 goals and 17 assists for 36 points. Over the course of his three NCAA seasons, Pitlick has scored 35 goals and added 44 assists for 79 points in 109 games.
With Pitlick now getting ready to suit up for the Mavericks, many across the hockey world were surprised by the move. A big addition for the Mavericks, it would not be surprising to see Pitlick finish atop the leaderboard when it comes to team scoring.
