Osei is currently playing for the NAHL's Maryland Black Bears
Maryland Black Bears defenseman Sam Osei has committed to Army, it was reported earlier this week.
Osei, a product of Jericho, N.Y., is in his first season with the Black Bears, having put up one goal and seven assists for eight points in 32 games.
Prior to making the jump to the junior level, Osei played for Shattuck St. Mary's 18U Prep last season, collecting three goals and 17 assists for 20 points in 41 games. Osei also played part of his minor hockey with the Long Island Gulls and the P.A.L. Junior Islanders.
With Osei set to join Army next year, he will have the opportunity to continue to hone his craft in the NAHL. As someone who makes smart, confident decisions with the puck, Osei has looked promising so far and will only continue to get better.
