Emberson spent the entire 2023-24 season with the Sharks

The San Jose Sharks have signed former Wisconsin Badger defenseman Ty Emberson to a one-year deal, the team announced Thursday. 

A native of Eau Claire, Wis., Emberson spent this past season playing for the Sharks where he scored one goal and added nine assists for 10 points in 30 regular season games. 

Prior to turning pro at the end of the 2020-21 season, Emberson spent three seasons playing for the Badgers, collecting 34 points in 101 games. 

While Emberson initially filed for arbitration, the Sharks and his camp were able to come to a deal before arbitration happened. With Emberson expected to stick with the Sharks of out camp, if he can take another step in his production, he is going to be able to get a nice deal when next summer rolls around.
