Poolman is in his second season with the Tommies

St. Thomas defenseman Mason Poolman has been named CCHA Player of the Week, it was announced Monday.
Hailing from East Grand Forks, Minn., Poolman is in his sophomore season with the Tommies, collecting three goals and an assist through three games so far.
During his freshman season in 2023-24, Poolman registered two goals and six assists for eight points in 28 games. Before joining St. Thomas, Poolman played for the NAHL's Austin Bruins and the BCHL's Penticton Vees.
Having already equaled half his point total from last season through three games, Poolman is on track to have a big sophomore season. While he's already an important player for his team, if Poolman can continue to produce, he should draw the attention of many NHL teams and earn an invite to development camp.
