Kim Klement Neitzel-USA TODAY Sports - Tampa Bay Lightning invite Dartmouth's Luke Haymes to development camp

The Tampa Bay Lightning have invited Dartmouth forward Luke Haymes to development camp, Mark Divver reported this past week.

The sophomore forward had a solid season for the Big Green, scoring 18 goals and adding 18 assists for 36 points in 31 games, good for first on the team in points.

Over his two season with Dartmouth, the Ottawa, Ont., product has 29 goals and 23 assists for 52 points in 61 games.

Prior to joining the NCAA, Haymes played one season of junior hockey for the Cowichan Valley Capitals (BCHL) where he had 53 points in 56 games.

Although he attended Toronto Maple Leafs development camp last summer, Haymes didn't get an ELC with the team. Having improved  upon his results from his freshman season, he could be a good candidate to earn an entry-level deal this time around.
