Musa just finished his freshman season with the Minutemen

The Florida Panthers have invited UMass forward Jack Musa to their development camp, Mark Divver reported Friday.

Musa, a product of Orange Park, FL., just finished his freshman season with UMass where he had 12 goals and 17 assists for 29 points in 37 games.

Musa finished second on the team in points and tied for first in goals.

Prior to joining the NCAA, Musa played his junior hockey with the Odessa Jackalopes (NAHL), Madison Capitols (USHL) and Cedar Rapids RoughRiders (USHL). In parts of two USHL seasons, Musa had 49 goals and 42 assists for 91 points in 139 games.

One of the most dynamic players on the Minutemen this past season, Musa will only continue to get better as his role grows. He has a chance to be a standout player at Panthers development camp.
