    Denver stays at No. 1, Ohio State enters the mix in this week's USCHO.com Division I Men's College Hockey polls

    The No. 1-ranked University of Denver Pioneers made it look easy against Northeastern this past weekend. David Carle's group won by a pair of matching 5-2 games against the Huskies. 

    Senior captain Carter King accounted for three goals and five points between the two contests. Denver will host Wisconsin for two this week at Magness Arena.

    Here is how the rest of the top five looks, along with some insight and notable teams in the poll.

    #2 Boston College

    The Eagles took down AIC and the U.S. National Team Development Program U18 team (exhibition) in a pair of lopsided affairs. 

    Freshman forward James Hagens (2025) recorded his first NCAA goal on Friday, and while it did not count toward his statistics, he scored against his old teammates the following night. 

    BC faces a big test against St. Cloud this weekend.

    #3 Boston University

    The Terriers topped UConn and beat Harvard in a shootout in an exhibition contest the following night. 

    Freshman forward Cole Eiserman (NYI) netted a pair of goals in BU's 4-2 win against the Huskies on Friday. 

    A road trip to North Dakota awaits this weekend.

    #4 Michigan State

    The Spartans jumped all over Windsor, 5-0, in an exhibition game on Friday. 

    Detroit Red Wings prospect Trey Augustine stopped all four shots in the first period before Luca Di Pasquo played the rest of the way. 

    Michigan State travels to Canisius for two games this weekend.

    #5 Minnesota (1)

    The Gophers picked up a big road sweep against Minnesota Duluth this past weekend. 

    Jimmy Snuggerud (STL) tallied a goal and an assist between the two games. 

    Minnesota hosts St. Thomas for two this week.

    Notables

    #13 Providence

    Nate Leaman's club earned two big wins against Arizona State this past weekend. 

    Sophomore forward Tanner Adams tallied a hat trick in the Friars' 4-1 win on Friday. 

    Providence travels to Vermont this weekend for a two-game set.

    #19 Ohio State

    The Buckeyes picked up a big road sweep at Wisconsin this past weekend. 

    Ohio State saw sophomore forward Max Montes tally game-winning goals in both contests. Meanwhile, head coach Steve Rohlik collected career win No. 200. 

    Ohio State will look to keep it going against Bowling Green this weekend.
