Both players suited up for Brown University this past season

The Vegas Golden Knights have invited Brown University's Alex Pineau and Tyler Kopff to development camp, Mark Divver reported this past week.

Both players just finished their freshman seasons with the Bears.

Pineau, a product of Thunder Bay, Ont., had seven goals and eight assists for 15 points in 30 games from the blue line. The 6-foot-3 defender lead the team in points by a defenseman.

Prior to joining the Bears, Pineau played his junior hockey in the CCHL (Ottawa Jr. Senators), NAHL (Minnesota Wilderness) and USHL (Des Moines Buccaneers).

A product of Ridgewood, NJ., Kopff finished fourth amongst forwards in points this season, scoring six goals and adding 12 assists for 18 points in 30 games.

Kopff spent two seasons playing junior hockey with the Coquitlam Express where he had 93 points in 107 games.

Both players came into their freshman seasons with the Bears and performed well, earning themselves a look with the Golden Knights. If they can keep the momentum going from their season, they could both earn an ELC.
